Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative who will be accountable for driving new business development, expanding strategic accounts, and supporting customers throughout their design cycles.
This role is ideally suited for a technically fluent sales professional who thrives in consultative environments, enjoys uncovering new opportunities, and excels at building trusted relationships with engineering and procurement teams.
The Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in positioning our principals as preferred partners for interconnect, PCB, thermal, electromechanical, and system-level power solutions, while actively growing their assigned territory through proactive prospecting and strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within OEMs, contract manufacturers, and emerging technology companies.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through targeted outreach, territory planning, and consistent customer engagement.
- Introduce the Company’s full portfolio of principals to new accounts and expand penetration across customer programs.
Strategic Account Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute account strategies that align customer requirements with principal capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with engineering, procurement, and technical stakeholders to influence design decisions early in the product lifecycle.
Technical Sales Leadership
- Lead technical discussions to understand customer applications and translate needs into effective product solutions.
- Recommend standard products or collaborate with engineering teams to develop customized solutions when required.
- Support customers through the Design-In process to secure long-term adoption of Company technologies.
Program & Project Coordination
- Assist in managing customer programs, tracking action items, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure technical requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support handoffs to regional field service teams when manufacturing occurs outside North America.
Market Insight & Sales Enablement
- Maintain customer-facing materials including presentations, application notes, and product documentation.
- Conduct or support Lunch & Learns, distributor training sessions, and technical presentations.
- Share customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends to support sales strategy and product development.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline or a suitable combination of education, skills and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, or a related technical role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- General understanding of electrical principles; experience with interconnects, PCBs, and system-level power is a strong asset.
- Fluent in English and French (required for Montreal; preferred for Toronto).

Work Environment
- Ability and willingness to work from a home office environment with sufficient connectivity to support video call effectively
- Ability to travel to various customer locations
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time across Western Canada, Montreal and the GTA/Southern Ontario
